River View Rooms
All overlook the River Dart and have individual themes and features, many with Jacuzzi baths, four poster and king sized beds. All have private bathroom or shower room, free Wi-Fi, colour satellite television, radio, direct dial telephone, central heating, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Please note that river view rooms are only let for single occupancy at full price and all rooms are non-smoking.

Weekend bookings require a two night minimum stay. Please telephone for last minute, or out of season availibility at weekends.
A special tariff to include breakfast, dinner and account facilities is available for regular mid week guests. Please ask for more details.
Special programmes are available for Christmas, New Year, Regatta, and Music Festival, when we offer special packages. Easter (Good Friday to Easter Monday) will be charged at their own rate. Unfortunately, special tariffs cannot be used in conjumction with any special offers.

For all special offers and sale tariffs we require full payment in advance which is non-refundable.
Booking & Confirmation
Throughout the year, when booked online, we require full payment for your first nights stay, per room to secure a booking, which is then deducted against the account on departure. If booked over the telephone we will take a £60 deposit which is then deducted against the account on departure. If you cancel your booking less than 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival your deposit will be retained. In the event of a non-arrival and no notification from yourself we reserve the right to recover the full amount owing for your accommodation. Christmas, New Year, Easter, Music Festival and Dartmouth Regatta are special events in the annual calendar and are subject to a £200 deposit per room that must be paid at least one calendar month prior to arrival with a cancellation time period of three weeks prior to the event.
We make no service charge and all prices are per room (except for some special breaks) and include VAT @ 20%.
Included in your tariff is a voluntary £1.00 donation towards the South Hams Green lane scheme. If you do not wish to pay this let reception know and they will deduct it from your bill.
Check in and check out
Rooms are usually ready by 2:00pm on the day of arrival and we ask that on your day of departure you vacate your room by 11:00am. If you arrive before 2:00pm then we will take your luggage and park your car.
Liability of the guest
Guests are liable for and shall indemnify the hotel for any acts or omissions by the guest (whether or not intentional)which results in damage to the hotel, including but not limited to, damage caused as a result of negligence, deliberate damage or recklessness (and the hotel will use its reasonable endveavours to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs in order to minimise and costs incurred by the guest.)
The guest is liable for the cost of replacing any items which the guest removes from the premises without the hotels consent.
In the event that the hotel becomes aware of damage to property or loss of possessions after the guest has departed, the hotel reserves the right to make a charge to the guests credit/debit card, or send an invoice for the relevant amount to the guest which shall be payable with 15 days of the date of invoice.
We have an award winning restaurant for our guests. If you wish to dine in the restaurant and are booked on a bed and breakfast basis then please book a table as soon as possible.
We have private parking with a valet service available, for which we make no charge. Guests vehicles left in the hotel parking facility after check out, without prior consent from the hotel will be charged £20 and/or removed at the guests expence.
We also hold permits for the town car park, available with a refundable deposit of £20.00.
We accept well-behaved pets at a rate of £10.00 per dog per night. We reserve the right to charge for any damages
No smoking is permitted in the building. There will be a £60.00 penalty for non-compliance.
Standards of behaviour
Guests must adhere to policies and procedures implemented by the hotel, including, but not limited to, health and safety and security procedures.
Guests must not bring any illegal or hazardous substances into the hotel.
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The management have the right to refuse to serve and/or require a guest to leave the premises when the hotel believes the guest to be behaving in an unacceptable manner. The hotel shall not be liable to pay any compensation or make any refund to a guest in these circumstances.
Should the guest accept the offer of the hotel to provide the services, the guest and hotel shall be bound by these conditions of the mutual promises and undertakings which are contained within these conditions. Payment of any deposits in respect of the services and/or signature by the guest of the hotels registration card, shall constitute the guests unqualified acceptance of the services subject to these conditions.

We endeavour to treat all our guests with any disability or impairment equally according to their needs, within the restraints of this historical building. There is no lift. We request that at the time of your enquiry or booking you inform us of any special needs or disabilities.
The hotel is a listed building and dates back to the 1630’s, it is situated in the centre of Dartmouth and is on the flat. You may alight and unload in front of the hotel, where there is limited and zoned parking. We offer the service of parking your car in our own secure parking 400 metres from the hotel.
Guest entry to the hotel is through the front entrance and is wide enough for wheelchair access. There are two inner doors, both of which need to be opened for a wheelchair. The hallway to reception is stone paved and has the occasional carpet.
The reception area is carpeted and seating is provided.
A disabled toilet is adjacent to the reception area.
Access to both ground floor bars, which also serve food, is possible with a wheelchair.
Our restaurant and lounge area are on the first floor, and there is a step into each. The furniture is not fixed and can be moved if required.
All bedrooms are on the 2nd 3rd and 4th floors.
All bedrooms, stairways and passageways are carpeted.
The entire hotel is non-smoking.
Assistance dogs are welcome.
Smoke detectors, alarms and emergency lighting are on all floors.
Vibration/strobe pads are available for the hearing impaired.
