DART MUSIC FESTIVAL 2008
The Eleventh Dart Music Festival takes place
from Friday 16th May ~ Sunday 18th May 2008.
Following the fantastic 10th year last year we all know it will be a hard act to follow in 2008.
Where better to enjoy the festival than staying at The Royal Castle Hotel in the heart of the music.
Since the Festival's inception in 1998, the eclectic mix of orchestral, rock, choral, blues, opera, folk, jazz etc., has won the hearts of both locals and visitors alike and become one of the star events in Dartmouth's calendar.
It appeals to all ages, from the delightful elderly couple seen sedately jiving in the Avenue Gardens, to toddlers watching their older siblings in their school choirs.

| Friday 16th May |
The weekend starts with a drink reception from 6pm until 7pm in our river view restaurant, which gives you the chance to mix with fellow residents and meet some of the staff and management who will be looking after you over the weekend.
Tonight we will be serving our classic Gala Buffet from 7pm in Nu or, if you prefer to eat in the Galleon bar, please see reception who will reserve you a table.
The great success of tonight’s Gala Buffet is that the format provides you with the flexibility to fully enjoy the music festival whilst still having your table for the entire evening. The courses are changed at intervals, so if you feel like having a stroll around the town to listen to a band you can. Then return to eat the same course again or move onto the next!
The gala buffet is also available to guests at £35 per person.

There will be live entertainment in the bandstand in The Royal Avenue Gardens from 7pm. Featuring ~ AJ's Big band, Mad Dog Mcrea.

Breakfast is served from 8am-10am in Nu or in the comfort of your room.

- Bayard's Cove - Another public venue and Heritage site, wonderful setting
- The Embankment - Public area on the side of one of the country's most beautiful rivers.
- The Guildhall - The town's historic council rooms and hall
- St Saviour's Church - Central setting
- St Clement's Church
- St Petrox Church - Next to Dartmouth Castle
- St John The Baptist
- The Britannia Royal Naval College Chapel - totally unique venue at Dartmouth's world famous naval training college for young officers
- The Flavel - Dartmouth's very own, quite new, Community Art Centre

| Sunday 18th May |
Breakfast will be served in between 8am-10am.
Musical highlights today include our one and half hour Musical River Cruise (complimentary for Royal Castle Hotel guests) with “Ian Briggs and the Supervampers” rock and blues band to entertain us all. Please meet in reception at 12.45pm. The Cruise departs at 1pm from the town pontoon and returns at 2:30pm.
Additional tickets are available from reception at The Royal Castle Hotel (subject to availability).
Tonight’s dinner is served Carvery style in from 6pm until 10pm
